WELCOME TO KIDS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

PRODUCTION STUDIO WITH PURPOSE

Since 2009, KITS has empowered youth impacted by the foster system to heal from trauma through transformative arts education. Now, Kids In The Spotlight is launching KITS Production Studio with Purpose [PSWP] will change life outcomes for youth in/from foster care by increasing career readiness, social capital, and resiliency. PSWP projects to generate 860 work opportunities annually as a workforce development program.

Operating as a social enterprise

Production Studio with Purpose will leverage the tools and labor income of the entertainment industry to provide racial and economic equity to Los Angeles’s most underserved youth through workplace training in film production.

PRODUCTION FEATURES

Standing Sets

Our 5330 sq ft building includes a 3300 sq ft warehouse space. All sets are portable, allowing the entirety of the warehouse to rent as open space, except for the newsroom, conference room, standing sets, and kitchenette.

Kitchenette

We have a small kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, and cabinets.

Youth Production Assistants

As part of our workforce development program, each production rental includes two trained youth production assistants to help with your project.

Hair and Makeup Room

We provide a small space for hair and makeup needs.

Production Office and Conference Room

The conference room seats 10-12 people and can be rented as a meeting space, table read, board room and production office.
